Abstract:Raman induced cavity dumping has been demonstrated theoretically and experimentally as an efficient technique of pulse compression. Through intracavity stimulated Raman scattering the electromagnetic energy at a primary frequency is down-converted and extracted from a storage cavity containing the Raman medium. Several experimental set-ups have been tested, concerning oscillators and amplifiers, using different pumping techniques. Results differ slightly according to the technique used, but pulse shortenings e… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
