“…Ordering theory has been used to generate and define prerequisite relationships among Piagetian tasks (Airasian, Bart, & Greaney, 1975;Bart & Airasian, 1974), to determine hierarchies among affective indicators (Bart, 1972;Bart & Krus, 1973), to analyze learning objectives in economics (Hurst, Dunn, Weiss, Lesage, & Hurst, 1978), and to reanalyze data when another method of hierarchical analysis was initially employed . Reanalysis of a Gagne et al (1962) study indicated that although the relationships validated by Gagne were generally confirmed by ordering theory, the analysis of the nonhypothesized relationships indicated a hierarchy more complex than originally hypothesized.…”
