Heterotic grouping of maize inbred lines on the yield basis of combining ability: Efficiencies and prospects

Abstract: Founding the perfect fit of inbreds into heterotic groups is a pivotal to the development of triumphant maize hybrids. Here the objective of this study were to (i) classifying inbred line(s) into known heterotic groups with unknown testers, HGCAMT, SCA-GY and HSGCA methods (ii) analyze breeding efficiencies of this method(s) and (iii) future prospects of heterotic grouping research.
