Abstract:In this study, TiO2 and Ag powders were deposited on the PET fabric using an atomizer in order to study the characteristics of particle deposited fabric. To improve the particle deposition, the surface of the fabric was pre-treated with an electron beam and its effect was studied with the deposition of those elements on the fabric. The SEM was used to observe the morphology of the deposition fabric and through the EDS analysis, the deposition of TiO2 and Ag was confirmed. Also, the absorbance of the particle deposited fabric was measured using the Methylene Blue to verify the photolysis nature of TiO2. Moreover, the antibiotic nature of Ag on the surface of the PET fabric was identified through the antibiosis test. . 이렇게 생성된 전자와 정공은 광촉매의

A reação de degradação fotocatalítica do estireno foi estudada utilizando-se TiO 2 P-25 (Degussa) como catalisador. Os experimentos foram realizados em um reator "slurry" em bateladas, com controle de temperatura, empregando-se uma lâmpada UV. Foram estudados os efeitos do pH, da concentração inicial de estireno, da concentração do catalisador e da adição de H 2 O 2 sobre a velocidade da reação. Os resultados mostraram que, em 90 min, cerca de 95% da quantidade inicial da molécula foi consumida por fotocatálise. Verificou-se também que a reação segue uma cinética de primeira ordem para concentrações iniciais de estireno, entre 15,27 e 57,25 ppm, a 30 °C. A análise cromatográfica das amostras coletadas durante os experimentos de fotodegradação identificou o benzaldeído como um dos intermediários dessa reação. Além disso, a adição de H 2 O 2 aumentou a velocidade de degradação.The aqueous styrene photocatalytic degradation reaction was evaluated using TiO 2 P-25 (Degussa) as a catalyst. These experiments were accomplished in a batch slurry reactor with temperature control and a UV lamp. The effects of the initial styrene concentration, the catalyst concentration, the hydrogen peroxide addition and the initial pH of the solution on the reaction were evaluated. The experimental results showed that in 90 min, 95% of the initial styrene was degraded by photocatalysis. It was verified that the styrene degradation rate fits a pseudo-first-order kinetics for initial styrene concentrations between 15.27 and 57.25 ppm, at 30 °C. The chromatographic analysis of the samples collected during the photocatalytic degradation revealed benzaldehyde as one of the intermediates. The addition of H 2 O 2 accelerated the degradation reaction until the system reached a certain optimum peroxide concentration in the reactor. Further H 2 O 2 additions resulted in a reaction rate reduction.

Photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic degradation of methyl violet dye using Graphite/PbTiO3 composites has been conducted. The purposes of this research were to examine photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic degradation of methyl violet using Graphite/PbTiO3 composite. Synthesis of Graphite/PbTiO3 composite was successfully performed via sol-gel method by mixing graphite powder, titanium tetra isopropoxide precursor solution (TTIP) and Pb(NO3)2. The Graphite/PbTiO3 composites were characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform-Infra Red (FT-IR), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The XRD diffractogram and IR spectrum of Graphite/PbTiO3 composite revealed all characteristic peak of graphite and PbTiO3. Photocatalytic degradation process showed that Graphite/PbTiO3 composite with ratio 1/1 decreased concentrations of methyl violet up to 92.20 %. While photoelectrocatalytic degradation processed for 30 minutes at neutral pH and 10 V voltage degraded the methyl violet until 94 %. However, the photoelectrocatalysis is still not significance to improve methyl violet degradation compared with photocatalysis.
