“…A não restrição ao contato direto com a ferida cirúrgica a partir da utilização de colar elisabetano ou roupa cirúrgica pode favorecer a ocorrência de lambedura excessiva do animal no local da incisão fato este que ocorre pelo seu comportamento natural quanto a sua higiene, pois segundo Raiser (1999), os felinos exercem ação mecânica com a língua que é mais abrasiva no momento de sua higienização, o que pode favorecer a deiscência em todos os planos de sutura. A deiscência da ferida cirúrgica ocorreu apenas na camada da pele, sendo prescrito o uso de pomada com ação antimicrobiana e curativo diários até a completa cicatrização da ferida, além disso, foi reforçado a importância do uso de roupa cirúrgica ou colar elisabetano para evitar a lambedura e contaminação do local.…”
