“…IC 50 value of DPPH assay for ascorbic acid and U. longissima extract was found as 340.33 ± 33 µg/ml and 2.63 ± 0.06 µg/ml, respectively. Verma et al (2017) found higher DPPH scavenging activity than standard (ascorbic acid). In the present study, DPPH radical scavenging activity of ethanolic extract of U. longissima was 37.86% at 5 mg/ml concentration and the extract exhibited weak activity when compared with standard antioxidant.…”
