ZusammenfassungErstmals wurde 2009 eine komplette Leitlinie zur Diagnostik und Therapie der Harninkontinenz bei geriatrischen Patienten im Auftrag der Dt. Gesellschaft für Geriatrie durch die Arbeitsgruppe Harnikontinenz erstellt und im Leitlinienregister der AWMF eingestellt. Vorgestellt wird nun eine aktuelle Zusammenfassung des letzten Updates, das im Januar 2019 als „S2e“-Leitlinie publiziert wurde. Es handelt sich um die einzige aktuelle und gültige, komplette deutschsprachige Leitlinie über Harninkontinenz. Besondere Berücksichtigung fanden bei der Betrachtung jedes Kapitels die Belange des hochbetagten, in der Regel über 75-jährigen und multimorbiden oder über 80-jährigen Patienten, der wegen seiner besonderen Vulnerabilität von Chronifizierung und Autonomieverlust bedroht ist. Neben einer kompletten Überarbeitung der Kapitel „Assessments“, „medikamentöse Therapie“, „Verhaltensintervention“, „physiotherapeutische Interventionen“ und „Hilfsmittelversorgung“ wurden neu in die Leitlinie aufgenommen eine Bewertung des ß3-Mimetikums Mirabegron sowie ein Kapitel über die Harnblasenlangzeitdrainage durch einen suprapubischen oder transurethralen Katheter mit der Betrachtung der DIfferentialindikation und der möglichen Folgen bzw. Komplikationen.
