Guidelines and recommendations for antimicrobial minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) testing against veterinary mycoplasma species

Abstract: -The absence of standardised procedures for minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) testing of antimicrobial agents against veterinary mycoplasma and ureaplasma species (Mollicutes) has made it difficult to compare results originating from different laboratories. Although a limited number of isolates were tested, some prediction can be made about possible outcome of treatment efficacy since, in hospitals, treatment is based on tests on one clinical isolate.…”
