The 2013 curriculum requires teachers to be more creative. One form of teacher creativity is developing teaching materials, including the student worksheet. Some teacher finds it difficult to do so for several reasons, so use student worksheets directly from the publisher. Based on the researcher's interview with one of the mathematics teacher, information was obtained that not all students were interested in the existing student worksheets, because it was incomplete from the explanation of the material, as well as the results of interview with some students who said that they often had difficulties when learning to use worksheets existing students, because the explanation is incomplete and the use of the background does not all suit the situation around them, this results in learning being less effective. There are many ways that students can be active in learning so that learning is more effective, including by connecting mathematics with daily life, such as student worksheets with learning resources from batik jambi. The purpose of this study is to explain the effectiveness of the use student worksheets based on discovery learning and learning resources from batik jambi to improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills. The method used is descriptive quantitative research, with the subject of grade 9 th at muaro jambi 7 public middle school (SMPN 7, Muaro Jambi). The results of this study indicate the use of discovery learning-based student worksheets and learning resources from batik jambi effectively improve students' creative thinking skills and get positive responses from students and teachers.

ABSTRAKGuru dituntut untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang bervariasi, pembelajaran yang bermakna dan diharapkan mampu mengaktifkan siswa. Proses pembelajaran akan berjalan efektiv dan efisien apabila didukung dengan bahan ajar atau alat bantu yang menunjang. Alternatif untuk mencapai hal tersebut yaitu dengan menggunakan LKS yang disesuaikan dengan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis komik strip dengan metode guided discovery learning pada materi perbandingan trigonometri kelas X yang layak menurut ahli. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian ADDIE yang dikembangkan oleh Lee & Owens dengan tahapannya yaitu analysis (analisis), design (desain) dan development (pengembangan) dan hanya sampai mengukur tingkat validitas dari LKS yang dikembangkan. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor persentase validitas menurut ahli materi dan ahli media sebesar 81,7905%. Oleh karena itu, Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis komik strip dengan metode guided discovery learning pada materi perbandingan trigonometri kelas X dinyatakan sangat valid oleh ahli materi dan ahli media.
ABSTRACTTeachers are required to create varied learning, meaningful learning and are expected to be able to activate students. The learning process will run effectively and efficiently if supported by teaching materials or supporting tools. The alternative to achieving this is by using worksheets that are tailored to students. This study aims to develop teaching materials in the form of comic stripbased Student Worksheets (LKS) with guided discovery learning methods in the class X trigonometric comparison material that is appropriate according to experts. This study uses the ADDIE research model developed by Lee & Owens with the stages of analysis (design) and design (development) and only to measure the level of validity of the worksheet developed. The results of the research data analysis showed that the average percentage validity score according to material experts and media experts was 81.7905%. Therefore, comic strip based Student Worksheet (LKS) with guided discovery learning method in trigonometric comparison material class X was declared very valid by material experts and media experts.
Discovery learning is a learning model that enhancescreative thinking skill including develops students' creative mathematical reasoning. Creative mathematical reasoning process includes novelty, plausibility, and mathematical foundation. This research aims to describe students’ creative mathematical reasoning of the mathematics education department on Geometry. The data was collected based on the observation and individual evaluation of students.The results showed that Discovery Learning can (1) grow as much as 35.48% of students have complete creative mathematical reasoning (novelty, plausibility, and mathematical foundation), (2) grow as much as 64.52% of students have incomplete creative mathematical reasoning, and (3) grow novelty by 77.42%.
