Growth of Diploid and Heteroploid Tissue Cultures in the Presence of Some Antibiotics

Abstract: Summary Several antibiotics were tested for their toxicity on three cell types—the heteroploid H.Ep.2 cell line, primary cynomolgus monkey kidney cells, and a diploid human embryonic skin line. The elimination of specific contaminants by particular antibiotics is discussed, and suitable concentrations of the antibiotics for use in tissue cultures are recommended.
