Growth of Cu2O Nanoparticles on Two-Dimensional Zr–Ferrocene–Metal–Organic Framework Nanosheets for Photothermally Enhanced Chemodynamic Antibacterial Therapy

Abstract: Two-dimensional (2D) metal–organic framework (MOF) nanosheets have been demonstrated to be promising templates for the growth of various kinds of nanomaterials on their surfaces to construct novel 2D composites, thus realizing enhanced performance in various applications. Herein, we report the growth of Cu2O nanoparticles on 2D Zr–ferrocene (Zr-Fc)–MOF (Zr-Fc-MOF) nanosheets to prepare 2D composites for near-infrared (NIR) photothermally enhanced chemodynamic antibacterial therapy. The uniform Zr-Fc-MOF nanosh… Show more

“…The simulated and experimental PXRD patterns of 1 and 2 are in good agreement with each other (Figure S2), indicating the phase purity of as-synthesized complexes. The different peak intensities of simulated and experimental PXRD patterns may be mainly attributed to the preferred orientation of powder samples . TGA curves of 1 and 2 are shown in Figure S3.…”

“…The different peak intensities of simulated and experimental PXRD patterns may be mainly attributed to the preferred orientation of powder samples. 56 TGA curves of 1 and 2 are shown in Figure S3. Complex 1 displays no obvious weight loss before 420 °C, but the framework rapidly decomposes with increasing temperature due to the removal of organic ligands.…”

“…The results supported that the SiO 2 -NH 2 layer has covered the surface of the Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticle. The appearance of two bands of 1727 and 1396 cm −1 in Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 -TbDPA corresponded to C=O-NH and the stretching vibration of C=O [ 38 ]. The weak absorption peak at 1582 cm −1 was assigned to the pyridine ring.…”

“…[215] Since then, CDT has gradually become a new strategy of cancer treatment using transition metal ions as catalysts to produce ROS under TME to induce cancer cell death. [216][217][218][219] However, the CDT performance is greatly restricted by the weak acidity in tumor tissues as well as the low concentration of H 10A). [136] After modifying with BSA, the FeO/ MoS 10B).…”
