“…These soil samples were analyzed for pH (1:2.5 soil: water suspension), electrical conductivity by conductivity meter, soil organic carbon by rapid titration method [11]. Available nitrogen contents in soil was estimated by alkaline permanganate method [12], available phosphorous was extracted by 0.5 m sodium bicarbonate and determined by Olsen's method [13] and available potassium content by ammonium acetate extraction method [14].…”

“…Maximum dry matter accumulation was observed with the treatment T 6 (@ 60 kg P 2 O 5 /ha + PSB @ 5 g/kg seed). It might be due to taller plants height, more tillers/plant and number of leaves [26]. The capacity of plant to accumulate dry matter determined by its rate of CO 2 fixation, photosynthetic area, and duration of crop, tillers/plant and environmental factor besides management practices [27].…”

“…. It might be due to smaller plants height, less tillers/plant and number of branches with low level of Phosphorus [26]. Ayub et al [16] reported the significant effect of P application on dry matter percentage and crude fibre content of cluster bean.…”
