Group Decision-Making Based on m-Polar Fuzzy Linguistic TOPSIS Method

Abstract: The fuzzy linguistic approach provides favorable outputs in several areas, whose description is relatively qualitative. The encouragement for the utilization of sentences or words instead of numbers is that linguistic characterizations or classifications are usually less absolute than algebraic or arithmetical ones. In this research article, we animate the m-polar fuzzy (mF) linguistic approach and elaborate it with real life examples and tabular representation to develop the affluence of linguistic variables … Show more

“…Aggregation of expert assessments on criteria in accordance with Equation (1) was also used in [39][40][41], where as part of creating hybrid approaches, the fuzzy TOPSIS method was combined with the Fuzzy AHP method. Examples of other fuzzy TOPSIS implementations using the technique of average value Shown in Equations (1) and (2) with TrFNs or trapezoidal fuzzy numbers (TFNs) were published in [42][43][44].…”

“…An important disadvantage of both techniques is the fact that the agreement degree of expert opinions is not taken into account (expert consensus). average value Shown in Equations (1) and (2) with TrFNs or trapezoidal fuzzy numbers (TFNs) were published in [42][43][44]. Another way to aggregate expert assessments and criteria weights expressed using TFNs, evaluation = , , , , and weight = , , , was presented by Chen et al [11].…”

“…An m-polar fuzzy set, an extension of a bipolar fuzzy set, was introduced by Chen et al [9] in 2014. After that, this concept was applied to BCK/BCI-algebra (see [10][11][12]), graph theory (see [13][14][15][16]), and decision making problems (see [17][18][19][20]).…”
