Ground-state ionization energies of boronlike ions

Abstract: High-precision QED calculations of the ground-state ionization energies are performed for all boronlike ions with the nuclear charge numbers in the range $16 \leqslant Z\leqslant 96$. The rigorous QED calculations are performed within the extended Furry picture and include all many-electron QED effects up to the second order of the perturbation theory. The contributions of the third- and higher-order electron-correlation effects are accounted for within the Breit approximation. The nuclear recoil and nuclear p… Show more

“…In eventology mathematical models of the HCS systems are considered within the framework of the eventological theory of systems (eventological system analysis) [1]. Starting from our paper [13], it is proposed to understand the eventological system (event system) as a set of events that consists of a free set of events (system basis) and events that are operationally related to events from the basis (system shell) [17][18][19][20][21][22].…”

“…Данный подход позволяет частично учесть поправки высших порядков по 1/Z. Мы рассматриваем хорошо известные потенциалы Хартри (CH), Кона-Шэма (KS) и локальный потенциал Дирака-Фока (LDF) (см., например, [37][38][39][40][41] и ссылки там).…”

“…The question arises: can we perform ab initio QED calculations for many-electron systems? The second-order contributions in α are evaluated only within the state-of-the-art QED calculations for helium-like [21][22][23][24][25][26], lithium-like [27][28][29][30], beryllium-like [31][32][33], boron-like [34][35][36], and sodium-like [37] ions. The computations are so far limited to such selected, relatively simple systems not only due to the complexity of numerical calculations but also because of difficulties in deriving formal expressions.…”
