Abstract:SUMMARY
Compounds containing one or more unsaturated links in the molecule have been tested for toxicity to the powdery mildews of apple and barley. Some of these compounds are known to be highly toxic to spores of other well‐known fungal pathogens, but none was effective against these powdery mildews. It would appear that unsaturation, even in molecular structures leading to high fungitoxicity to many fungal species, is not of great value in producing compounds toxic to powdery mildews, at least to those of a… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
