Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles from Phaseolus vulgaris L. Extracts and Investigation of their Antifungal Activities

Abstract: B u çalışmanın amacı, Phaseolus vulgaris L.'nin (Yunus-90) yaprak, kök ve gövde özütlerini kullanarak gümüş nanopartiküllerini (AgNPs) sentezlemek ve antifungal aktivitelerini ölçmektir. Show more

“…Silver nanoparticles are reported to have possible diverse pharmacological applications like applications demanding antimicrobial effect on bacterial strains [34,35], cancer therapy [3,25,31,36] and antifungal practices [37,38]. The preparation of metallic nano particles for cancer therapy via green synthesis makes them more reliable in terms of minimizing the possible side effects and less threatening the patient's health [3].…”

“…13,14 Metallic nanoparticles obtained through biogenic synthesis have shown promising results. Several studies report the application of these new nanomaterials for the control of diseases such as those caused by phytopathogenic fungi [15][16][17][18] and insects. [19][20][21] Capping by organic compounds from the reducing and stabilizing agents used in their synthesis is a relevant characteristic of biogenic metallic and oxide metallic nanoparticles.…”
