“…After this time, degradation of MB became negligible, which could be due to the unavailable reactive sites of CuO NS. Mali and co-workers have reported up to 90% degradation of MB using Cu nanoparticles synthesized by Celastrus paniculatus 42 .

“…The one pot green synthesis of CuO NPs was performed as per the procedure available in literature [ 23 , 24 ] briefly, to 50 mL of 5 mM copper sulfate solution, 5 mL of extract was added and pH was adjusted to 7 using 1 N sodium hydroxide solution. The color changed to green color and the solution was centrifuged and pellet was dried in air oven at 60 °C for 24 h. A dark brown/black color powder was obtained and was stored in room temperature for further study.…”

“…Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary science, growing rapidly due to its incorporation into various scientific sectors, such as medicine, engineering, pharmacy, industry, wastewater treatment, paper preservation, and agriculture [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]. Nanoparticles (NPs) are aggregates of atoms or molecules at a nano-size, ranging from 1 to 100 nm [ 4 ].…”
