Purpose: Throughout the last decade, academics and business people have become interested in research on environmentally friendly workplaces. As a result, new fields of study such as green human resource management (GHRM) are gaining interest. Greening the workplace means greening common corporate tasks such as human resource management, marketing, operations, and supply chain management. GHRM plays a strategic role in helping companies to implement and develop strategic initiatives, as well as achieve corporate sustainability. In particular, green human resource management (GHRM) practices are also critical for generating organizational pride and motivating employees. Employees will feel proud of their company because they believe that their company supports community development, improves public health, and protects the environment and natural resources. This paper aims to examine in sufficient detail the GHRM concept followed by its various benefits for the business world, both at the organizational and individual levels. Design/methodology/approach: This paper is an in-depth review of several literatures regarding GHRM. Findings: A large number of experts and researchers agree that GHRM has an important role in realizing sustainable organizations while contributing to environmental protection from local to global scales. Research limitations/implications: This paper is conceptual and general in nature. Further, more in-depth empirical research still needs to be carried out, using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Practical implications: There needs to be collaboration between academics and practitioners in developing the GHRM concept into various practical environmental management and corporate social responsibility (CSR) that are more concrete and specific according to their respective business sectors and communities. Originality/value: This paper is very relevant to remind business people that they are facing increasingly serious ecological challenges and there is not much time left to overcome them. Sustainable SMEs Performance and Green Competitive Advantage: The Role of Green Creativity, Business Independence and Green IT Empowerment

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of green creativity and business independence on competitive advantage moderated by green IT empowerment. The research population is all creative SMEs in the Tangerang, Yogyakarta and West Java regions. Samples were taken from part of the population using purposive sampling technique. The target sample in this study is 400 SMEs. However, there were only 272 SMEs who completely filled out the questionnaire and were thus analyzed. The results of the study concluded that green creativity had a significant negative influence on the performance of sustainable SMEs and a significant positive influence on green competitive advantage. Business independence had a significant positive influence on the performance of sustainable SMEs and a significant positive influence on green competitive advantage. The research results indicate that green IT Empowerment did not moderate the relationship between green creativity and sustainable SME performance and weakened the relationship between green creativity and green competitive advantage. Likewise, the research results indicate that green IT empowerment did not moderate the relationship between business independence and sustainable business performance; it moderated the positive relationship between independence and green competitive advantage.

This study aims to examine the influence of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) on Competitive Advantage (CA), considering the mediating role of Loyalty Employee (LE) and Green Creativity (GC) at Alfamart in Kabupaten Bekasi. The Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method was used to analyze data collected from 50 respondents in the company. The latent variables in this study include GSCM, Loyalty Employee, Green Creativity, and Competitive Advantage. The analysis results show that the research model has a good Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) and Comparative Fit Index (CFI), which are 0.926 and 0.951, respectively. In addition, there is a positive and significant influence of GSCM on Competitive Advantage, which can be mediated by Loyalty Employee and Green Creativity. The analysis results also show that Loyalty Employee and Green Creativity mediate the relationship between GSCM and Competitive Advantage positively and significantly. Therefore, Alfamart in Kabupaten Bekasi can improve its CA by implementing socially and environmentally responsible GSCM, and paying attention to Loyalty Employee and Green Creativity as important mediators in the relationship between GSCM and Competitive Advantage.
