Malaysia as one of leading country in halal industry shows tremendous achievement in global market by providing Sharia compliance products and services. Therefore, with almost 90% populated by Malay Muslim, Perlis provide vast market value to product and service related to halal in term of food and beverage, agricultural and basic agricultural industry; not only cater the national need, but also regional and international market. The ability of the state to maintain in promoting halal destination will enhance their position as tourist destination and boost up the standard living for locals and state procurement. The research also to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) No.12 : Responsible Consumption And Production. Therefore, the purpose of the research is to provide the finding in the implementation of Halal-Logistics Value Creation (HLVC) among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) in Perlis and the effectiveness of HLVC toward firm/ business performance.

This systematic review answers the question what aspects of EnvironmentalManagement System (EMS) implementation in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are dealt in contemporaneous literature. For this purpose, by applying keyword search queries and the follow-up screening, 26 publications were filtered out of Web of Science database, which were then analyzed in a quantitative method using bibliometric procedures, followed by a systematic qualitative review. It was based on a conceptual analysis, identifying the basic EMS implementation aspects comprised. Through synthesis of the ascertainments obtained, we conclude that the main aspects of EMS implementations in SMEs are the implementation procedure hindrances, be that internal barriers, prohibitive costs and need for their justification.

Various research on logistics has been conducted to examine Logistics Service Provider (LSP) firm performances in many angles. This is important since logistics service has become an important industry globally and the trend also absorb in Malaysia`s commercial market. Growing in innovation trend was also effected logistics when demand on green logistics take place in international stages on awareness over environmental issues. In line with this development, halal-value creation concept also emerges and constructively contribute to the sustainability of the industry. Therefore, there is a discrepancy in the study of business models, particularly on the firm performance that have not yet been tested in the role of halal and green logistics as a catalyst for marketing strategies that can benefit a company. Thus, this concept paper will conduct an effort and check previous literature related to business performance to see the direct relationship on halal and green logistics as independent variable toward firm`s performance. Through this conceptual study, halal-green logistics will be dedicating as element of sustainability marketing in firm`s performance; which environmental and contamination issues will be highlights and address accordingly. This study will propose Resource-based View Theory as underpinning theory to prove inclination of relationship between variables. Finally, the paper will provide Halal-Logistics Value Chain conceptual framework as initiative to facilitate the global community of researchers and practitioners in understanding the diversity, meaning, and evolution of the halal-green logistics phenomenon in the context of emerging economies, also as improving firm performance.
