Graphene oxide bonded fused‐silica fiber for solid‐phase microextraction‐gas chromatography of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in water

Abstract: A novel chemically bonded graphene oxide/fused-silica fiber was prepared and applied in solid-phase microextraction of six polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from water samples coupled with gas chromatography. It exhibited high extraction efficiency and excellent stability. Effects of extraction time, extraction temperature, ionic strength, stirring rate and desorption conditions were investigated and optimized in our work. Detection limits to the six polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons were less than 0.08 μg/L, an… Show more

“…Therefore, the coating decides the performance. Until now, a large number of organic and inorganic materials as SPME fiber coatings have been developed and commercialized, such as carbowax/templated resin, polydimethylsiloxane/divinylbenzene, and polyacrylate [4,5]. Commercial SPME fibers are expensive and show some drawbacks and restricts in applications [5][6][7].…”

“…Like CNTs, there are also a lot of research works about G [151,152,[159][160][161][162]166,167] and magnetic G [146][147][148][149] grafted onto the stainless steel fiber [162,163], functional G {e.g., polypyrrole/ graphene composite-coated fiber [164]} and GO [165] used for SPSs. Usually, G-NPs are derived from deoxidized GO-NPs.…”
