» Rotational malalignment of the lower extremity is a potential cause of hip, knee, and ankle pain. » Physical examination must include observation of gait and an assessment of femoral rotation and the thigh-foot axis with the patient prone. » Advanced imaging helps to quantify the degree of deformity, improving the accuracy of the preoperative plan. » Surgical correction of rotational malalignment of the femur and tibia is reserved for severe, symptomatic deformity. » Future software that allows for 3-dimensional assessment of alignment and preoperative planning will further aid in the correction of the complex deformities. Natural History An appreciation of the childhood rotational development pathway helps us to better understand associated deformity in adolescents and adults. Dolayısıyla deformite tedavisinin sadece anatomik bölgeye ve açısal büyüklüğe göre değil, etiyoloji ve yaş faktörleri de göz önünde bulundurularak planlanması gereklidir. ETİYOLOJİÇocuk ve adölesan yaş grubunda deformiteler genellikle doğumsal, gelişimsel ve edinsel olarak U niapikal tibia deformitesi, tibianın tek apeksi (apex: tepe noktası) olan defomitelerini tanımlar. Diz ve ayak bilek eklem çevresinde dizilimi etkileyen tibia deformiteleri doğumsal veya edinsel nedenlere bağlı olarak görülebilir. Mekanik eksenin düzeltilmesi başta diz olmak üzere alt ekstremitenin diğer eklemlerinde uzun dönemde gelişebilecek dejenerasyonun engellenmesini sağlar. [1,2] Deformite, metafiz veya diyafiz yerleşimli olarak ortaya çıkabilir. Dikkatli bir klinik ve radyolojik değerlendirme ile apeksin tespit edilmesi, osteotominin nereye, ne şekilde yapılacağı ve kemik parçaların nasıl yönlendirileceği konusunda yol gösterir. Bu derleme deformite analizi ve planlamasına genel bir bakış açısı sağlamaktadır. Deformite analizinde farklı metodlar kullanılırken, değişmeyen parametre doğru radyografi çekimidir. Deformite basitten komplekse geniş bir yelpaze içerirken, radyografik olarak frontal ve sagittal planlar mutlak değerlendirilmektedir. Bir ortopedik cerrahın deformite planlaması için öncelikle ekstremitenin normal parametrelerini bilmesi gerekmektedir.Anahtar sözcükler: deformite; analiz; planlama This article will provide a general review of deformity analysis and deformity planning. Several techniques are used in deformity analysis; however precise radiography is essential. Deformities range from basic to complex deformities, and they are evaluated radiologically in both frontal and sagittal planes. The orthopedic surgeon must know normal parameters of the extremities to assess deformity planning.
