When designed and managed properly, personal health records (PHRs) are valuable tools that can reform healthcare systems. Yet while the PHR literature covers multidiscipline cases on design requirements, implementations and early positive results, it also echoes concerns related to the undelivered potential and challenges tied to PHRs. Consequently, a vast body of literature exists with unclear themes and blurred lines between perception, realisation and outcome. This paper exposes dominant research themes in PHR research and aids the understanding of this developing field. Our bibliographic analysis of 524 papers published from 2000 to 2015 revealed a core set of 61 publications. Interesting identified themes include the operation of PHRs with emphasis on innovation, prototypes and governance, as well as the impact of PHRs on specific medical conditions, healthcare processes and sociotechnical issues. Design issues were also exposed focusing on user requirements, design elements and technologies and lessons learned through empirical cases.

In this study, we developed a document for managing Information Technology suppliers in hospitals. This document is used to ensure the proper management of IT suppliers in the hospital. Products and services in Information Technology have characteristics and specifications that are always up to date, making it difficult for non-IT people to understand. Hospitals whose main business in the health sector is often lack of human resources who understand IT. Observations and interviews were conducted in Indonesian hospital, to identify the characteristics and problems in supplier management. Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and government regulations on supplier management were reviewed and combined as a benchmark and guidance on how supplier management activities are carried out. The result of the process is a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) document. The parties involved in the supplier management process have evaluated the SOP document. From the results of the study, it is known that currently, the hospital is still focused on procedures procurement of goods and services that are government regulated. This study proposes some new activities that are not currently done by the hospital.

Over the past two decades, the topic of service-oriented architecture (SOA) has attracted considerable attention among researchers and practitioners. Despite a lot of efforts to study it from different points of view (mostly from a technological perspective), little is done to develop our understanding of SOA from an organizational perspective. Therefore, this study aims at reviewing the literature on SOA from an organizational point of view. To this end, 65 journal papers (published between 2005 and 2020) were selected from different electronic databases for study. After a careful review of selected papers, four distinct categories of research themes were identified: SOA adoption, implementation, governance, and organizational impacts and applications. Moreover, major factors influencing SOA adoption as well as potential areas of impact of SOA in firms were determined.
