Glycoconjugate biosynthesis in human epidermis

Abstract: Epidermal glycoconjugates synthesized by skin slices in media containing radiolabelled sugars were analysed by sodium dodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. A large proportion of the epidermal glycoconjugates were soluble in 10% (w/v) trichloroacetic acid.
