“…Subsequently, the nanoparticles were electrophoresed according to the previous report. 48 In addition, the stability of the polycation to bind DNA was studied using the heparin sodium replacement assay. At first, 0.2 μg of GP in 5 μL of water was added into the aqueous solution containing 0.2 μg of pUC-19 and 0.2 μg of sodium alginate (or only 0.2 μg pUC- 19) and then incubated at room temperature for 30 min.…”

“…[34][35][36] Our previous works have also demonstrated that crosslinked LMW PEI might give enhanced gene transfection efficiency compared to PEI 25 kDa with good biodegradability and serum tolerance. [37][38][39] Furthermore, in recent years, the application of fluoropolymers in biomaterials also attracted extensive attention for their unique characteristics including good chemical stability, low surface energy and phase segregation. 40 Unlike conventional alkyl chains, fluorocarbon chains are both lipophobic and hydrophobic with high phaseseparation capacity to form stable assembled structures in both water and most organic solvents through a ''fluorophilic effect''.…”

“…Because of many excellent properties and good biocompatibility, it has been widely studied and applied in drug development. For example, GSH was introduced in the synthesis of polyethyleneimine coated with magnetic nanoparticles to reduce their toxicity. , Furthermore, Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles were modified with GSH to improve biocompatibility and cellular uptake . Moreover, as the most important detoxification factor in human body, GSH could chelate with heavy metals, such as Pb, Hg, Cr, and Cu, to shield the toxicity of free metal .…”
