Glucose, glutamine and inorganic phosphate in early development of the pig embryo in vitro

Abstract: Pig embryos at the 1- or 2-cell stage (before the 'block' to development in vitro) were cultured in 8 different media derived from Krebs'-Ringer-bicarbonate medium. A 2 x 2 x 2 factorial arrangement was used for the treatments, with glucose, glutamine and phosphate being the major effects tested.
