Glucose control in the ICU

Abstract: Purpose of review-Critically ill patients usually develop hyperglycemia, which is associated with adverse outcome. Controversy exists whether the relationship is causal or not. This review summarizes recent evidence regarding glucose control in the intensive care unit.
