The diversification of agricultural and livestock production matrixes has the potential to generate value-added products in industrial and promising crops. Specifically, the countries in the Amazon basin have in the Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) a species oriented toward market niches such as food, oils, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and biofuels, whose exploitation and use are aligned with the bioeconomy and circular economy megatrends. The aim of this publication was to identify and analyze the evolution of scientific and technological research in the Sacha Inchi value chain worldwide, based on a methodological design that combines technological intelligence, the analysis of scientific landscapes and bibliometric indicators and content analysis, to establish a baseline for the identification of key elements for the design of an agro-industrial production model. The methodology includes the integration of surveillance and scientific intelligence methods, scientometrics, and critical analysis of key documents selected through bibliometric indicators and expert judgment. The analysis made it possible to identify the research development lines in Sacha Inchi worldwide, and the reference documents that comprise key elements of the activities from cultivation to processing of the product obtained. The basic investigations identified will contribute to the development of productive models of Sacha Inchi in Colombia, where technical aspects must be adapted or validated in suitable agroecological zones or with productive potential to improve the yield and quality of seed for agroindustry. Medium-term research is required to genetically identify the planting material, to facilitate the selection of materials oriented to the production of fruits with the quality required by the agroindustry.

El sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) es una planta promisoria que requiere fortalecerse con prácticas agrícolas que garanticen una oferta futura de suficiente volumen en kilogramos por hectárea y calidad adecuada de semilla. El objetivo de la investigación fue evaluar el efecto de las podas de formación sobre su rendimiento en el distrito Constitución, Provincia, Oxapampa, departamento de Pasco, Perú. Se aplicó un diseño de bloques completamente al azar (DBCA), con 3 tratamientos y 3 repeticiones. Los tratamientos fueron: (T1) poda con dos ramas, (T2) poda con tres ramas y (T0) control sin poda. Se utilizó el ecotipo pinto recondo. Con un distanciamiento de 3 x 2 m y soporte de tutores. Las podas de formación se realizaron a los 60 días de la instalación en campo. Los resultados muestran que con el Tratamiento T2 se obtuvo 633,89 kg. ha-1 en el primer año y 1901,67 kg. ha-1 al segundo año, superando estadísticamente a los demás tratamientos. Las podas con tres ramasfavorecen el desarrollo de la planta y el incremento del rendimiento en menor tiempo.

One of the main pathological problems for cropping sacha inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) is its susceptibility to root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne incognita). In this study, fungal endophytes were explored in the stems and leaves of seven species of the Plukenetia genus, and also evaluated the abilities of isolates of Trichoderma and Clonostachys as biocontrol agents against damages caused by this nematode in sacha inchi. In order to evaluate such effects, seedlings were colonized with these fungal isolates, and then they were infested with root-knot nematode eggs. The results showed that the Plukenetia genus is rich in diversity of fungal endophytes. Their greatest diversity was found in Plukenetia brachybotria. Among the most efficient isolates for endophytic colonization, some of Trichoderma (e.g., kmd-36 and kmd-54) and others of Clonostachys (e.g., kmd-68 and kmd-80) provided a significant (p < 0.05) reduction in the number of galls induced by the nematodes, in comparison to the control treatment without endophytic colonization. In addition, these isolates allowed a better root development in the tested plants, thus revealing a good biocontrol potential against M. incognita in sacha inchi.
