Giant magnetoimpedance effect of ac‐dc Joule annealed electroplated NiFe/Cu composite wires

Abstract: In this article, we investigate the influence of ac‐dc Joule annealing of NiFe microtubes on their giant magnetoimpedance effect. NiFe magnetic layers were electroplated onto 100‐μm‐diameter copper wires and then submitted to dc or ac‐dc current annealing for 8 minutes. Both annealing and cooling down processes were performed in argon atmosphere. Results show that the presence of ac part of Joule treatment leads to higher induced anisotropy and increases the MI ratio. It is conjectured that the ac component th… Show more

“…3 Due to these properties, it is widely used in aerospace, electronic communications, medical devices and other industries. [4][5][6][7] ECD is one of the common methods for preparing Fe-Ni coating based on its simple equipment and high efficiency. 8 In addition, Fe-Ni ECD is an abnormal co-deposition, which represents that the reduction of Ni is inhibited during the ECD process, while Fe whose reduction potential is more negative is preferentially deposited on the cathode surface.…”
