KEYWORDS ABSTRACTEvery day, a large volume of information is downloaded onto organizations without a management plan for this resource, damaging the work processes, which require the employee to have effective competence against the use of this information. Thus, this research aims to interrelate the information management and information literacy as processes that can subsidize the work practices of the organizations inserted in the business context. The research problem is defined: how can information management and information literacy contribute to organizations within the business context? Why does information management require Information Competence and vice versa? For this, a research of the bibliographic type and qualitative nature was used as methodology, where a survey of relevant materials on the concepts in question was carried out. The results showed that it is relevant to unite these fields of information science (information management and information literacy) and insert them into the organizational environment, in order to optimize the daily processes related to work practices and decision making. This interrelationship can be identified as strategic planning for the achievement of competitive advantage and success in the market.

Simulated tempering (ST) has attracted a great deal of attention in the last years, due to its capability to allow systems with complex dynamics to escape from regions separated by large entropic barriers. However its performance is strongly dependent on basic ingredients, such as the choice of the set of temperatures and their associated weights. Since the weight evaluations are not trivial tasks, an alternative approximated approach was proposed by Park and Pande (Phys. Rev. E 76, 016703 (2007)) to circumvent this difficulty. Here we present a detailed study about this procedure by comparing its performance with exact (free-energy) weights and other methods, its dependence on the total replica number R and on the temperature set. The ideas above are analyzed in four distinct lattice models presenting strong first-order phase transitions, hence constituting ideal examples in which the performance of algorithm is fundamental. In all cases, our results reveal that approximated weights work properly in the regime of larger R's. On the other hand, for sufficiently small R its performance is reduced and the systems do not cross properly the free-energy barriers. Finally, for estimating reliable temperature sets, we consider a simple protocol proposed at Comp. Phys. Comm. 128, 2046Comm. 128, (2014.
We revisit the present status of the stiffness of the supranuclear equations of state, particularly the solutions that increase the stiffness in the presence of hyperons, the putative transition to a quark matter phase and the robustness of massive compact star observations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
