High-risk pregnancy: clinical-epidemiological profile of pregnant women attended at the prenatal service of the Public Maternity Hospital of Rio Branco, Acre

“…However, it is noteworthy that the punctual collection of data from records such as the pregnant woman's booklet and hospital records is a good source of information and is widely used in other studies that study this subject. 9,10,12,21 In spite of the limitations, the results found are relevant to raise awareness of the clinical and epidemiological profile of high-risk pregnant women, mainly due to their direct impact on maternal, fetal and neonatal morbidity and mortality, and is still of great importance for the northern region of the country, due to the low production of studies in this area. Above all, we emphasize the importance of exploratory studies in this population.…”
