Genesis of hydrothermal gold mineralization in the Qianhe deposit, central China: Constraints from in situ sulphur isotope and trace elements of pyrite

“…The EQMB consists of four metallogenic clusters, including the Xiaoqinling, Xiaoshan, Luanchuan, and Xiong'ershan districts from the west to the east (Cao et al, 2015;Chen, Pirajno, Li, Guo, & Lai, 2009;Chen, Pirajno, & Sui, 2004). As one of the important ore concentration areas in EQMB, the Xiong'ershan region hosts a large number of gold deposits (Figure 1b), such as porphyry gold deposit (Qiyugou 189 ore body; Qi, Wang, Yu, & Chen, 2019;Tang et al, 2021), orogenic lode gold deposits (e.g., Shanggong; Chen, Pirajno, & Qi, 2009;, and other types of hydrothermal Au deposits hosted in fractures, altered rocks, and breccia pipes (e.g., Qiyugou, Qianhe; Tang et al, 2013;Xiong et al, 2019;Wang et al, 2020).
