Genome sequence and description of Traorella massiliensis gen. nov., sp. nov., a new bacterial genus isolated from human left colon

Abstract: A strictly anaerobic, motile, non–spore-forming, Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium designated Marseille-P3110T was isolated from the left colon cleansing of a 76-year-old Frenchwoman. Its 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) gene showed a 93.2% similarity level with the 16S rRNA of Dielma fastidiosa strain JC13, the closest species with a validly published name. The genome of Marseille-P3110T is 2 607 061 bp long with 35.99% G+C content. Of the 2642 predicted genes, 2582 were protein-coding genes and 60 were RNAs, inclu… Show more

“…Noticeably, a rise in the bacterial diarrheal gastroenteritis-causing Campylobacter jejuni (ANTH, 0.5% 6 1.6%, versus others, 0.05% 6 0.1%) was shown in anthocyaninfed animals without changes in chicken welfare. We detected the anaerobic Anaeromassilibacillus senegalensis having a short exposure time under aerobic conditions (76) in all of our experimental groups with a similar frequency (R0.1% 6 0.4%), which can reflect adequate sample handling and processing. Bacteroides gallinaceum, which was previously isolated from the ceca of a healthy broiler, seems to play an important role in the digestive system (77).…”

“…Butyrate-producing Butyricicoccus desmolans was traceable only in very low proportions in all sample sets. The lowest level of the newly described anaerobic, non-spore-forming, fatty acid-producing Traorella massiliensis ( 76 ) was observed in higher abundance among birds treated with anthocyanin (ANTH, 0.4% ± 0.9%, versus other, 0.03% ± 0.1%). Additionally, the short-chain fatty acid producer Pseudomonas fragi ( 78 ) showed relatively high abundance in anthocyanin-fed birds (ANTH: 0.3% ± 0.5%).…”

“…6e. We detected the anaerobic Anaeromassilibacillus senegalensis having short exposition time under aerobe conditions [69] in all of our experimental groups with similar frequency (0.15%±0.1) which can reflect adequate sample handling and processing. Bacteroides gallinaceum which was previously isolated from the caeca of a healthy broiler seems to play an important role in the digestive system [70] however, it was only traceable in carotenoid, (TS3 0.14%), and anthocyanin (TS6 0.12%) treated samples.…”

“…Noticeably, β-glucan treated samples showed the highest species diversity for lactic acid bacteria recovering eight Lactobacillus strains out of which Lactobacillus aviarius, L. salivarius and L. alvi were universally represented. The lowest level of the newly described anaerobic, non-spore forming, fatty acid producing Traorella massiliensis [69] was observed in birds treated with anthocyanins (TS6 0.04%±0.015 vs. other 0.1%±0.17). Also, the shortchain fatty acid producer Pseudomonas fragi [72] showed relative high abundance in TS6 (0.3%±0.2) samples.…”
