Potensi Antioksidan Ekstrak Biji Duku (Lansium Domesticum Corr. Analisis uji ANOVA menunjukkan ada satu kelompok yang memiliki perbedaan rata-rata baik kadar GSH (p=0,00) maupun kadar MDA (p=0,00). Analisis uji post hoc terhadap kadar GSH dan MDA menunjukkan hanya kelompok dosis 100 mg/kgbb yang memiliki perbedaan yang bermakna (p=0,00). Dengan demikian, ekstrak biji duku (Lansium domesticum Corr.) memiliki potensi antioksidan dan optimum pada dosis 100 mg/kgbb.Kata Kunci: antioksidan, ekstrak biji duku, GSH, MDA ABSTRACTLansium domesticum Corr. is a typical plant of Indonesia. The seeds have a lot of useful compounds, such as flavonoids. Flavonoids are a natural compound that can act as antioxidants. The aim of this study was to determine the antioxidant potential of Lansium domesticum Corr. seed extract. This study was an experimental research with posttest control group design. The subjects were 32 white male rats. Rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: negative control group was given suspension of Na CMC 1%, dose group I, II and III were given Lansium domesticum Corr. seed extract with each dose of 100mg/kg, 200 mg/kg, and 300 mg/kg. Observation of the subject's response was done by measuring the levels of glutathione (GSH) and malondialdehyde (MDA). Analysis ANOVA test showed that there was a group that had an average difference both GSH levels (p=0.00) and MDA levels (p=0.00). Post hoc test analysis for GSH levels and MDA levels showed that only a dose of 100 mg/kg which have significant differences (p=0.00). Thus, Lansium domesticum Corr. seed extract has antioxidant potential and optimum dose of 100 mg/kg.

Land suitability assessment for Lansium domesticum cultivation on agroforestry land using matching method and geographic information system. Biodiversitas 21: 3683-3690. Lansium domesticum is one of the multipurpose tree species (MPTS) and is commonly found on agroforestry lands in Sumatra. This study aimed to evaluate the actual land suitability classes for L. domesticum and to map the potential land suitability for the species using matching method and geographic information system (GIS). The study was conducted in Sei Bingai Sub-district, Langkat District, North Sumatra, Indonesia. A survey was conducted to collect soil samples based on land units. Land unit information was obtained by overlaying soil map, land-use map, and slope map. Land suitability was evaluated based on the matching method and GIS was used to map the distribution of land suitability. The results showed that both the actual and potential land suitability classes based on matching approach for L. domesticum were moderately suitable (S2) which accounted for 88.95% of total land and marginally suitable (S3) which accounted for 11.05%. Availability of water (wa), erosion hazard (eh), root-zone medium (rc), oxygen availability (oa), and nutrient retention (nr) were the dominant limiting factors in this area. The most difficult constraints to manage were root-zone medium and water availability. The results of this study suggest that the development of L. domesticum in Sei Bingai is possible although it requires some land improvements to deal with the limiting factors.

Lansium domesticum Corr. with vernacular name in Indonesian duku has been reported containing therapeutic bioactive compounds, and some of these compounds shown to be potent antitumor, anticancer, antimalaria, antimelanogenesis, antibacteria, and antimutagenic activities. This plant is commonly known as duku, kokosan and langsat by the local community in Indonesia. The morphological appearance of all varieties is nearly the same, and identifi cation of the varieties is very diffi cult for growers. Variation of DNA sequences of the ITS (Internal transcribed spacer) region can be used as a molecular character to determine the phylogenetic relationship of different varieties of L. domesticum. The aims of this study were to determine taxonomy status of duku, kokosan, and langsat, also phylogenetic relationship among varieties of L. domesticum based on ITS rDNA sequencing. DNA was isolated from leaves of plant and then amplifi ed using F1 and R1 primers. Nucleotide sequences were identifi ed using Sequence Scanner Software Programm version 1.0, nucleotide sequences from 18S, ITS1, 5.8S, ITS2 and 26S region, that has been mergered using EditSeq and SegMan in software Suite for Sequence Analysis DNASTAR Lasergene DM version 3.0.25. The results of study showed that DNA fragments ranging in size from 782-810 bp. Different pattern of DNA fragments indicated polymorphism among duku, kokosan, and langsat. Based on the results of the ITS rDNA sequencing and phylogenetic tree analysis. It was determined that Lansium and Aglaia are a separated genus with the similarity index value of 0.98. Duku, kokosan and langsat were divided into two cluster, namely cluster kokosan-langsat and cluster duku with the similarity index value of 0.996.
