“…Metabolomic phenotypes have been used for QTL mapping in mapping populations of several plant species, including Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana; Keurentjes et al, 2006;Lisec et al, 2008;Rowe et al, 2008), tomato (Solanum lycopersicum; Schauer et al, 2006), potato (Solanum tuberosum; Carreno-Quintero et al, 2012), and maize (Zea mays; Lisec et al, 2011). In some experiments, transcriptomic and/or proteomic data have been used in combination with metabolomic data and QTL analysis (Wentzell et al, 2007;Ferrara et al, 2008).
