An intensive debate has been occurring among academics, consultants and corporate executives, resulting in many definitions of a more humane, more ethical and more transparent manner of conducting business. They have created, supported or criticized related concepts such as sustainable development, corporate citizenship, sustainable entrepreneurship, the triple bottom line, business ethics and corporate social responsibility (Van Marrewijk, ). In the midst of LPG (liberalization, privatization and globalization), with market expansion occurring and the customer base needing to be widened for long‐term profitability, can enterprise opt for sustainability through the stakeholder approach? Interestingly, the ITC (Imperial Tobacco Company) is a firm committed to the core values of sustainable development in agrobusiness and in other activities, which has made the corporation well known for its stand on sustainability. Hence, this study begins with a brief literature review on sustainable enterprise and an introduction to familiarize the reader with the case organization, to examine what has made the ITC remain a stalwart in sustainable development and to identify the factors that drive the ITC's vision of sustainability. Based on the identified factors, total interpretive structural modeling (TISM) has been used to evolve a framework of sustainable enterprises on the star model (Sushil, ), which explains the customer and the government as driving factors for sustainability along with the triple bottom line. To validate our study, data on surrogate measures of some of the variables have been taken from the annual reports of the ITC and the validation is performed using linear regression analysis. The purpose of this paper is to understand the concept of accounting sustainability of spiritual dimension as a concept of sustainability. Sustainability accounting of spiritual dimension or can be called as Aksus is a sustainable concept which contains the spiritual dimension that complements the previous three dimensions (profit, people, and planet). This study uses the critical discourse analysis method of Norman Fairclough. The result is that there is a representation of Sukoharsono's thoughts in the text, as well as the relation to Sukoharsono's reader and identity for the readers that occur on the look of a text. Thought of concern for the survival of all beings is present in the text. At the level of discourse practice such as the production of texts, Sukoharsono does so with great caution and accordance with the sciences he has had, so it can be said if the production of the text is a manifestation of his perspective on accounting and sustainability. At the level of sociocultural practice, there is an influence of the current business situation and the social community that exists. The analysis shows Sukoharsono's commitment to the world of accounting and sustainability, and that business people always continue to care about the survival of all beings in addition to fulfilling their benefits

From any state of economic and environmental assets, the maximin value defines the highest level of utility that can be sustained forever. Along any development path, the maximin value evolves over time according to investment decisions. If the current level of utility is lower than this value, there is room for growth of both the utility level and the maximin value. For any resource allocation mechanism (ram) and economic dynamics, growth is limited by the long-run level of the maximin value, which is an endogenous dynamic sustainability constraint. If utility reaches this limit, sustainability imposes growth to stop, and the adoption of maximin decisions instead of the current ram. We illustrate this pattern in two canonical models, the simple fishery and a two-sector economy with a nonrenewable resource. We discuss what our results imply for the assessment of sustainability in the short and the long run in non-optimal economies.
