Gastrointestinal pathogen colonization and the microbiome in asymptomatic kidney transplant recipients

Abstract: Background:In kidney transplant recipients, gastrointestinal (GI) pathogens in feces are only evaluated during diarrheal episodes. Little is known about the prevalence of GI pathogens in asymptomatic individuals in this population.
