“…In the latter condition, the inhibitory sedative effect probably reduced accelerations in all directions. These results are similar to what was shown by L opez-Sanrom an et al [9]. We also found significant effects of sedation on COP displacement and path length measures, consistent with increased motion and postural sway present in xylazine-induced ataxic horses.…”

“…In addition, this is the first study to show how quantifiable gait parameters change significantly when horses are walked down a slope and when they are walked with their heads in an elevated position. Kinematic data showed a dose‐dependent development of longer slower strides in sedated horses, consistent with what 2 other studies have shown . This change is likely to be largely due to the direct central inhibitory effect of xylazine while horses maintain a certain speed on the treadmill, ultimately resulting in the combination of reduced stride frequency and increased stride length.…”

“…Eredményeik alapján jól detektálható a gyógyszer hatása a mozgásra. 6 A lovak mindhárom jármódjának vizsgálatával foglalkozó publikációk célkitűzései sokrétűek: a ló mozgásának biomechanikai jellemzése; 7 a lóra adaptált patkószenzor kifejlesztése; 8 más validált vizsgálatokkal való összevetés; 9 az optimális mérési pontok meghatározása. 10 A lovasterápia járásfejlesztő hatását vizsgáló publikációkban a kapott gyorsulási paramé-terek alapján a ló és ember gyorsulási értékei hasonlóságot mutattak, így következtetésük-ben a lovasterápia ehhez kapcsolódó lehetséges járásfejlesztő hatását emelik ki.…”

“…Many researchers have proposed novel methods to evaluate variable gait parameters such as walking speed and gait events [6][7][8][9]. Inertial sensors such as gyroscopes [10,11], accelerometers [12,13] and magnetic sensors [14] are small and easy to be integrated in the portable and wearable devices for the measurement of orientations of human body.…”
