Supersonic separation technology is a new natural gas sweetening method for the treatment of natural gas with high CO 2 (carbon dioxide) content. The structures of the Laval nozzle and the supersonic separator were designed, and the mathematical models of supersonic condensation and swirling separation for CO 2 -CH 4 mixture gas were established. The supersonic condensation characteristics of CO 2 in natural gas and the separation characteristics of condensed droplets under different inlet pressures were studied. The results show that higher inlet pressure results in a larger droplet radius and higher liquid phase mass fraction; additionally, the influence of centrifugal force is more pronounced, and the separation efficiency and removal efficiency of CO 2 are higher. When the inlet pressure is 6 and 9 MPa, the liquefaction efficiency at the Laval nozzle outlet increases from 56.90% to 79.97%, and the outlet droplet radius increases from 0.39 to 0.72 μm, and the removal efficiency is 31.25% and 54.52%, respectively. The effects of inlet pressures on the removal efficiency of the supersonic separator are complicated and are controlled by the combined effects of liquefaction capacity of the nozzle and centrifugal separation capacity of the swirl vane.

This paper studies an adjacent accumulation discrete grey model to improve the prediction of the grey model and enhance the utilization of new data. The impact of COVID-19 on the global economy is also discussed. Two cases are discussed to prove the stability of the adjacent accumulation discrete grey model, which helped the studied model attain higher forecasting accuracy. Using the adjacent accumulation discrete grey model, non-renewable energy consumption in G20 countries from 2022 to 2026 is predicted based on their consumption data from 2011 to 2021. It is proven that the adjacent accumulation exhibits sufficient accuracy and precision. Forecasting results obtained in this paper show that energy consumption of all the non-renewable sources other than coal has an increasing trend during the forecasting period, with the USA, Russia, and China being the biggest consumers. Natural gas is the most consumed non-renewable energy source between 2022 and 2026, whereas hydroelectricity is the least consumed. The USA is the biggest consumer of Nuclear energy among the G20 countries, whereas Argentina consumed only 0.1 Exajoules of nuclear energy, placing it at the end of nuclear energy consumers.

Turkmenistan’s Gas Sector Development Scenarios Based on Econometric and SWOT Analysis

Turkmenistan is currently one of the key suppliers in the global natural gas market, and it is important to examine its competitive position in the world. The aim of this article is to forecast the development strategy of its gas sector. To achieve this aim, the authors first examined: (1) Turkmenistan’s position in the global gas market and the structure of its oil and gas sector; (2) the share of gas in Turkmenistan’s exports. They then conducted an analysis of the causal relationship between FDI and GDP. The above research made it possible to conduct a comprehensive SWOT analysis. Based on the SWOT analysis, three sector development scenarios were developed: pessimistic, realistic, and optimistic. On their basis, the gas sector in Turkmenistan can build strategies for its development, considering the impact of market and non-market factors.
