Fungi from industrial tannins: potential application in biotransformation and bioremediation of tannery wastewaters

Abstract: Tannins are a complex family of polyphenolic compounds, widely distributed in the plant kingdom where they act as growth inhibitors towards many microorganisms including bacteria, yeasts, and fungi.
