Fungal infections during Neutropenia: The Role of Prophylaxis

Abstract: Summary: Fungal infections are seen predominantly in patients with neoplastic diseases. Autopsy studies revealed that 30 to 50% of deceased patients with hematologic neoplasmas have histopathologically documented invasive fungal infections.
