“…Hasbullah et al (2013), reported that VHT at 46.5 o C for 20−30 minutes (min) was effective in eradicating the eggs of B. carambolae on the start fruit and no significant changes in the fruit weight loss, moisture content, hardness, color, total soluble solid and vitamin C. Report of Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJ-EPA) research revealed that vapor heat treatment at 47 o C for 30 min was effective in eliminating the eggs and larvae of B. papayae on mango variety of Gedong Gincu without any effect on quality (IJ-EPA Unpublished, 2013).
