Frequency Dependence of Nonlinear Elastic Moduli of Polystyrene‐Based Nanocomposites in the Range of 1.5–2.5 MHz

Abstract: The nonlinear elastic moduli of block samples of polystyrene (PS) nanocomposites with three types of fillers: SiO2 particles, halloysite nanotubules, and carbon black (CB) are measured by ultrasonic technique in the frequency range of 1.5–2.5 MHz. The linear elastic moduli of nanocomposite samples change not significantly over those of pure PS, while nonlinear moduli demonstrate considerable variations.
