Formation of corn grain quality in different directions of use depending on the technology of growing in the Forest-steppe

Abstract: Purpose. The aim of the research conducted during 2016-2019 was to determine the impact of technological methods on the indicators of corn grain quality to optimize the elements of growing technology depending on the directions of use in conditions of the Forest-Steppe natural zone of Ukraine. Methods – field, quantitative and weight, chemical, comparative and calculation, mathematical and statistical. Results. On the results of the research, dependences of formation of quality of grain on the content of prote… Show more

“…The highest total N was registered in GMC4 (1.98 %), the least was in GMC3 (1.53 %); apart from GMC3, the total N content in the rest of the GMCs was not significantly different (p = 0.051). There were significant differences (p > 0.001) in the moisture content of grains used due to the grain material, prevailing climatic and soil conditions where the grain was cultivated, and the grain's postharvest processing (Horshchar V. & Horshchar O., 2011;Kaminskyi & Hliieva, 2015;Petrenko, 2017). However, the differences recorded did not seem to be critical in the quality of the spawn produced because they did not affect yield.…”

“…Успішна боротьба з бур'янами створює передумови для збільшення врожаю, зниження втрат від шкідників і хвороб, підвищує якість культур як попередників у сівозміні, скорочує затрати на очищення і доробку зерна [7].…”

“…Today, in connection with persistent trends of climate change in the direction of warming and increasing aridity, the main zone of corn grain cultivation is the Forest Steppe, and the highest yields are formed in Polissшa zone, where 50 years ago it was an atypical crop. That is why development and improvement of zonal technologies for growing corn must be directed to the formation of optimal morphostructure, stress-resistant agrocenoses with high intensity of photosynthetic activity, which will maximally use agroclimatic and production resources [Kaminskyi et al, 2017].…”
