Abstract:International audienceSeveral pathologies of the foot can be solved simply by adding an orthosis under the patient's foot. Defining the geometry and the size of such orthosis is key in optimizing its influence on the foot. Unfortunately, most of the orthoses produced today are not specifically design for a patient. They allow improvements to some degrees but could be more efficient if they were patient specific. We propose to use a patient-specific finite element foot model to study the influence of such ortho… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
