Abstract:Six pathologically verified cases are presented in which temporal lobe tumor (glioma or metastatic carcinoma) was associated in the EEG with regular ¾–1½/sec focal broad sharp delta activity over the area of the tumor. This rhythmic activity contrasts with the usual arrhythmic slowing seen focally with brain tumor and may conceivably be related to the rhythmic slowing associated with seizure activity, although clinical seizures occurred in only 2 of the cases.
