Fluconazole induces ROS in Cryptococcus neoformans and contributes to DNA damage in vitro

Abstract: Pathogenic basidiomycetous yeast, Cryptococcus neoformans, causes fatal meningitis in immunocompromised individuals. Fluconazole (FLC) is a fungistatic drug commonly administered to treat cryptococcosis.
