Flexible Hybrid Organic–Inorganic Perovskite Memory

Abstract: Active research has been done on hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite materials for application to solar cells with high power conversion efficiency. However, this material often shows hysteresis, which is undesirable, shift in the current-voltage curve. The hysteresis may come from formation of defects and their movement in perovskite materials. Here, we utilize the defects in perovskite materials to be used in memory operations. We demonstrate flexible nonvolatile memory devices based on hybrid organic-inorga… Show more

“…In addition to demonstrating the role of interfacial recombination in the presence of mobile ions in a semiconductor, our study demonstrates the viability of controlling the measureable consequences of this ion migration. This suggests the interesting possibility of exploiting these effects for other electronic applications where a memory of previous operating conditions would influence device behaviour1415.…”

“…By utilizing the structure of Ag/perovskite/Pt, Choi et al [107] realized the low voltage multilevel resistive switching devices with high ON/OFF ratio. Furthermore, Gu et al [108] achieved the flexible perovskite memory device by depositing perovskite precursor solution on transparent plastic substrates coated with conducting layer. Therefore, by utilizing this resistive switching property, it is feasible to open a pathway to fabricate low-cost flexible high-speed memory devices.…”
