Flavonoids from Picris davurica

Abstract: Eleven compounds were purified from the anti-inflammatory extract of Picris davurica by column chromatograph on HP20 macroporous resin, MCI, sephadex LH-20 and ODS.Their structures were determined by the spectra data of NMR and MS as isoestin 7-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-2'-O-α-L-arabinopyranoside(1), isoetin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-2'-O-β-D-xyloypyranoside(2), isoetin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-2'-O-α-D-glucopy- ranoside(3), isoetin 5'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(4), isoetin-2'-O-β-D-xyloypyranoside(5), isoetin-4'-O-β-D-O-β-D… Show more

“…Luteolin 7-O-β-d-glucopyranoside shows an inhibitory effect to lactate dehydrogenase in humans by interacting with the enzyme’s active site. [ 47 ] Luteolin, either aglycone or glycoside, has many biological activities, including: antimicrobial,[ 48 ] antioxidant,[ 49 ] anti-inflammatory activity,[ 50 ] anticancer,[ 51 ] monoamine oxidase inhibition,[ 52 ] inhibitory effects on lens aldose reductase,[ 53 ] and antiplatelet effects. [ 54 ] Luteolin also has multiple cardioprotective effects by enhancing contractility, upregulating autophagy, and preventing cardiac fibrosis[ 55 ] and anti–HIV-1 activity.…”
