Five Balances in the Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Abstract: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is the most common chronic autoimmune joint disease. The etiology of RA is complex, and then it is impossible to cure completely today and it should be individualized treatment. Immune system is complex. Existing statistical techniques based on reductionism cannot discover many relevant disease risk factors and complex interaction relationship. The disease network model based on complex network is important for the analysis and treatment of RA disease. In this Review, we have found fi… Show more

“…Numerous chronic diseases such as arthritis, cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular (CV) and neurological diseases were reported to be instigated by chronic inflammation (49) . Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune illness recognized by chronic synovial inflammation with higher female incidence (50) . Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) is a main pro-inflammatory mediator involved in the development of RA (51) .…”

“…Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by chronicsynovial inflammation. RA occurs when autoimmune response leads totissue damage which is mostly caused by type III hypersensitivity, with the participation of antibodies, complement, antigen-antibody complex, macrophages, T and B cells (1) ; leading to chronic progressive joint destruction causing a decline in quality of life, physical function, and working ability (2) .Small joints of the hands and feet are more frequently affected, by which the main characteristics of RA are stiffness and swelling of the joints as a result of inflammation of the synovium (3) . IL-6 is 26 kDa, four-helical glycopeptidepleiotropic cytokine mediates several biological functions, including regulation of the immune system, regenerative processes, metabolism, bone homeostasis, cardiovascular protection and neural function.…”

“…населення [2]. Актуальність проблеми РА зумовлена й соціальним аспектом, а саме високою частотою поширеності цієї хвороби у популяції з типовим розвитком у хворих тимчасової та стійкої непрацездатності [3,4]. РА характеризується запаленням та набряком синовіальної оболонки суглоба з подальшим руйнуванням суглобових структур.…”
