Fiscal decentralization: the search for new approaches for the development of local government

Abstract: In this article, the authors consider issues of fiscal decentralization in the context of sustainable development of territories, justify the development trends of the world community in providing public goods for the population. “…The study of the impact of budget decentralization on allocation and production efficiency in modern Russia and the degree to which it influences the economic growth shows that steady-state values of economic growth depend on the share which different government levels have in the total volume of public expenditures -expenditure decentralization [10].
